Father finds infant unconscious underneath other baby

OKLAHOMA CITY- Police are calling the death of a two-month old baby a tragic accident. Paramedics and police arrived at an apartment complex near NE 23rd and I-35 Wednesday night to find the baby unresponsive.

Investigators say it appears the baby was lying with his 18-month old sister, when she rolled over on top of him. The child stopped breathing.

"The fire people ran this way, got the baby, and he had it in his hands,' said neighbor, Bruce Denmark. "They said the baby was dead."

Investigators believe the baby may have been accidentally smothered to death. The father of the children was home with them at the time.

Police say this appears to be an accident. No arrest have been made.
